It all started at the age of 15 with a mini DV camera, a firewire 400 capture card, a custom built PC built from parts lying in the basement. A gifted DVD with Adobe Premiere 1.5 on it, and a group of friends that wanted to make street skateboarding sponsor me videos.
9 years later, I was trained by 3 international DIT’s (Richard Muller, Peter Nielsen, Karl Schmidt). Of whom Karl Schmidt (GreenHausFilms) trained me for more than 3 years and helped me maintain my fluient German, start building my customer communication skills and introduced me to the amazing world of film making that would make me into a DIT that can positively impact almost every area of the production chain.
Soon after I started my own company ( Pixel Pulse Films) and started acquiring my own clients and progressing in the field rapidly. Pixel Pulse Films as a company is slowly growing with 5 employees in South Africa. Each person has been selectively trained with our work methodology and secure and thorough workflow.
Part of our methodology is to increase crew mural by offering complete technical support to technical crew on Productions of any scale. Maintaining international standard and insuring all info needed is communicated to post as required. Technology is made available for DOP's to create and directors to communicate their vision clearly.
